On Monday 27th December 1999 I was back at the Cheltenham Town Hall to see a show called THAT'LL BE THE DAY. The show featured tunes from the 50's, 60's, 70's, and even a few hits from the 80's. As the show was being performed near to Christmas it had a festive feel to the show.
The performers were:-
Some of the funniest moments in the show were when firstly TREVOR impersonated CLIFF RICHARD with great precision, secondly when TREVOR and GARY performed a LAUREL & HARDY type scetch, thirdly when TREVOR came on dressed as a Turkey and sang "I'm Only A Poor Little Sparrow" with new lyrics relating to Turkey's and Christmas, and finally when GARY came on dressed as ELVIS.
Some of the tracks covered in the show were RUNAROUND SUE, BLUE MOON, BANNER MAN, MISTLETOE & WINE, IMAGINE, DO YOU BELIEVE IN FATHER CHRISTMAS, JINGLE BELL ROCK, I SAW HER STANDING THERE, BAD TO ME, and GLAD ALL OVER.
All in all I really liked the show and I thought TREVOR and GARY were amazing at being other people.
